Not a Haney fan but can’t blame him for the lawsuit.
He’s looking for more money because his career might be trashed unless some match down the road to redeems him.
Cotto got a fair rematch.
Haney would never get that.

Love his enthusiasm but Haney has a point as ShowBizAdult very well stated.
I respect Haney as a boxer but have no allegiance to him as a fan. That said, he deserves a fair fight at his weight which he will never get with Garcia.
Sketchy fighters like Garcia and Margarito need to be held accountable not get a slap on the wrist because they are marketable.
True accountability is what is going to give respect for this sport.
If the “boxing board” cannot do it, Haney has to take matters into his own hands including sueing for battery.
We might agree that it’s not the “manly” thing to do but we must also agree that the punishment does not fit the crime for those sketchy fighters.
I have a feeling he will win the suit or settle nicely out of court.
I’ve been following ShowBizAdult on this topic and am really surprised that he not once condemned Garcia for missing weight and missing weight on purpose at that. That’s a garbage look for the sport anyway way you look at it and if you’re looking to hold up this sport, you must take a better stance on fighters not making weight especially when they miss weight on purpose which is one of the main points of the lawsuit.
Last point: if Garcia wins fair and square, are we even talking about this?
